About

In the lands of the Mausoleum, one of the seven wonders of the world, the sandals of Queen Ada of Karya and Artemisia of Halicarnassos come to life once again with Manira Bodrum, centuries later.

Inspired by the blue waters of Bodrum and by the civilizations the region has hosted for thousands of years, Manira Bodrum creates a new line of Bodrum sandals — bringing together high craftsmanship, natural materials, traditional handcrafts, design and creativity.

Sharing the modern line of both today and the past, Manira Bodrum salutes all the masters whose efforts brought the Bodrum sandal to the present day, and above all the great master Ali Güven.

Manira and the fish symbolise the universal power of life, youth, renewal and hope — a naive, emotional and romantic feeling that brings comfort and lightness.

Manira Bodrum refers to a calm yet powerful feminine presence. It reflects romance, passion and emotion, and speaks to those who inspire the people around them and prefer to lead with their inner world — to everyone who carries a longing for Bodrum throughout their life.

Craftsmanship

All Manira Bodrum sandals are handmade by expert masters, using a range of fine genuine leather and first class additional materials sourced from around the world, with the help of women highly skilled in traditional handcrafts.

Inner linings are made from first class kid leather.

Outsoles are made from fine leather and vegetally processed; a thin layer of rubber is added to the heels to increase durability.

During the creation of Manira Bodrum sandals, the maximum comfort achievable in flat sandals is ensured alongside aesthetics.
